What are typical director of admission salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

Yes I think most schools have their own pay scale and some do pay more. |

It seems that the salaries range quite a bit. Does anyone know how much they make for typical universities like University of Phoenix or Strayer? |

Best place to get a salary summary of traditional higher education institutions would be the Almanac issue of the Chronicle of Higher Education. The proprietary institutions are more difficult to pin down in terms of salary; typically it's in the ads. The positions at institutions of that type are full of goals and getting a staff to meet them. Positions will be very quantifiable and results-driven. To enrich skills in the area, management training; training in higher education administration, service marketing and sales, managing a sales team, reading in the field, attending professional organization meetings all would help. |
