Hi everyone,
I want to become a director of nursing, however; i'm not knowledgeable of beginning the process. What type of educational background is required? I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I'm considering the same position. From what I understand, all you have to have is your BSN for now. Some institute require or would prefer a MSN or a masters in business. My facility had a leadership academy. Some mangerial position would help out such as charge nursing, house supervisor, unit manager. But overrall, if you get considered there would be more training that they would send you to.
