How did you get your start doing director of operations work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

I have a very strong background in food service management and housekeeping. I would like to move into the heathcare industry. I hold a Masters degree in Organizational management and am pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Healthcare Administration. What else do i need to do to get a "foot in the door"?
