Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field? What skills should you learn to increase your salary? |

a top earner who works his A$$ off can make upwards of 60 to 75k (paramedic), working overtime and on holidays, but thats rare. as many ambulance companies put a cap on the ammount of money you can make. Most EMT's earn about 30k a yr paramedics 60k a year. |

do you think that having an AA would increase your pay. or do you only need the EMT and paramedic training to get that salary. |

Wehn i worked at emstar/network, i was making more than a person who had over 5yrs of experience. i was making $10.50/hr and the MTO was making $10.15. but in jan. 2008, they were hiring people starting at $12.00... and i got hired in dec. 2007. does that make sense to you? |

My dad made $135,000 in 2008&2009 but that was $43,000 in overtime. He works ALOT & has been a paramedic for 25 years now so that factors in also. In 2010 he made $110,000 with $30,000 of that being overtime. So even without the overtime its a great salary. I know how much he makes because he works for the city we live in. And any city worker salary is public knowledge no matter where you live. So i just looked it up online because I want to also become a paramedic. He'd FREAK if he knew that i know how much he makes LOL |
