Hi All,

I am currently working as an Electrical Engineer in the Power Industry working in Transmission Planning. I have been interested in changing jobs and have found few regulatory compliance engineer jobs for reliability.

My question is if this is a good move. Currently, I am using power flow software and doing technical work within Transmission Planning. If I took a position as Compliance Engineer, I feel that it is not as technical, but is this a good career move both financially and for career path?

I feel that not doing the technical work and working as compliance engineer could make me less marketable, is this true? Any recommendations for my situation or suggestions are welcomed. I have been doing Transmission Planning for 1 year now.

Thanks!
