Not sure what you are telling me. you dont need a email address, or a name. do you have 4 years to take cut in pay and properly complete an IBEW apprentiship progrqam in Alaska ? (take care, 66% of outside programs will not work). do you have $15,000.00 to fork over for a schoool and live in Kenai ? The success rate in Alaska runs 14% to 42% each year. Do not go to anchorage unless you can prove to yourself that the $2,500.00 gamble will pay off. Round trip (if you fail) air fare, hotel, restrant, taxi, test fee and license fee is not like in poor low wage areas like mississippi, georgia and south carolina. You need to learn the criteria for setting for the test. If ypoiu are short of proof of experience, go to S.C. and get their State License (2 years) that really works. Alaska does not properly descriminate against S.C. Purchase Blueprint Reading, by American Technical Publishing. Buy 300 one and one quarter inch colored tabs from wally world. Tab every article in your NEC. Purchase fast finder and elec formulas and examples from a world class book store such as world books in 'frisco, or browns in houston. put a clock on the table. when you average 88% on the tests, using max 4 minutes / question, get on the plane. KEY ! keep any form of alchohal 72 hours away from trial tests or state tests. No IBEW nor tutor can beat that system. Self education is heads and shoulders better than bought systems that do not come with guarantee. I wont wish you luck. you dont need luck now. You will be surprised how almost all of the high wage states recipricate with alaska. you will never consider 4-7 thousand a month chump change jobs again. |

Or you could just test in ND which reciprocates with AK and has one of the lowest costs to test and maintain your license. That's what I plan on doing since my state (WA) ended it's reciprocation with AK. |
