I had a temp. job working for CLP Resourses/ Staffing company. Took a job Working for Afgan company out of Kabul only to find out this company was to dangerous to work for.To make a long story short , I am looking for work here in the states preferably but, may have to go back.I am a Journeyman Electrician with a Florida and Iowa license. PS.I lost my right to draw unemployment insurance because the last company was not a US company. [ Inc. ]

If you have a State Journeyman Electrician License that reciprocates with Alaska, ( IBEW or your mother can not help here) go online and or call CH2MHILL in Englewood Colorado, CONAM in Anchorage, or Udelhoven, based in Houston, but hires online and out of Anchorage, or ASRC. ASRC hires online, and out of Anchorage, but headquartered in Houston. Do not gamble on passing the Alaska Test. Its not child play. I smoked on the side walk with a local electrician taking the test for his 14th time. The lead inspector for CH2MHILL failed the test the first 5 times prior to passing it. One year the success rate was 14 %........but.....you will never consider $3,000.00/week for your labor and knowlege again. Especially ducking bullets for the low ball afghan work. thats insane. I talked to a longtime friend on the North Slope last week. He said he has already made $120,000.00 this year.

A company called Atco is looking to fill a position in waste management at the Kandahar airport but if you're already close by maybe worth looking into.
