How did you get your start doing electronics engineer work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position? Do you need a particular educational background? |

To get a START, you need a recent electrical engineering degree from a respected university, and be young. Young translates into being willing to work long hours at low pay and not caring about being appreciated. The best career move is to learn to play office politics and become buddies with upper managers and salespeople. You should try to keep up with technical advances related to your expertise, but overall the buddy system is more valuable - paticularly as you get older. Look to transistion out of engineering and into sales (best)or management (but only if sales doesn't work out). |
