I worked for 20 years in the medical diagnostic equipment service department of a major company. I was unable to relocate in 2008 to Georgia, so I took severance. It has been amazingly difficult to find medical electronic tech jobs in central Indiana ever since. The interviews I have been on have been complete washouts, or make statements that don't come true. Employers want experienced, but fresh education, and work for lowest dollars. In brief, they want Bachelors level biomeds to do Associate level work. I had and still have a fantastic record of teamwork, perfect attendance, and get things done, and more, but I am modest, but it appears these values, plus electronic skills are not valued by employers anymore. Am I the only one that is experiencing this, or should I call the truck driving school?
