Tracy, I'm looking for just the opposite information. I'm hoping to find advice on starting a career as a corporate meeting planner. I'm 45yo, and will be making a complete career change. I live in the SE Wisconsin area, close to either Chicago or Milwaukee. Is there a reputable Meeting/Event Planning certification program worth taking at one of the fine universities in my area? Can someone recommend strategies to break into the field when you've never done this work before? - Mary
