What are typical executive chef salaries? Do some companies pay a lot more for this position than others? What does a top earner make in this field?

What skills should you learn to increase your salary?

Take a look at the Indees Salary Search. According to this tool the average salary is around $50K: www.indeed.com/salary?q1=Executive+Chef&l1=Minneapolis%2C+Minnesota&tm=1

It also provides you with the average salary rates for an Executive Sous Chef and Executive Pastry Chef.

Their is no salary for an Executive Chef. It is solely based on the size of the operation and the revenue it generates. Yes their is traditionally a "decent salary and the bonuses are normally based on food cost and labor.

An executive chef in a casino in Atlantic City will make a lot more than a hotel chef in a neighboring city. Why? The reason is simple the establishment generates more revenue.

Example a restaurant chef in neighboring Wildwood, NJ 55K + Bonus AC Chef 120+ major bonuses.
