I'm an aivaiton mechanic in the military. I've been interviewing with different aviation related and non aviation companies. I interviewed for a field service engineer position with Makino inc. and was offered a position. From what I've researched It seems like a wonderful career. Lots of travel which I don't mind at all. I was also offered a position in the aviation field. I love the aviation field but the service engineer position sounds like theres more room for promotion. What's the life of a FSE like? What are the ups and downs? Is it worth changing careers?
