I thought it would be easier. I am a military veteran (4 years active duty) with a BS in Business Administration concentrating in finance. Two weeks ago I finished my third internship as an accounting assistant. When I left the military I did not anticipate that times would be so rough and as a veteran I figured there would be more people to recognize my achievements. At 26 years old I have 4 years budgeting, inventory, and management experience. Followed by three internships in accounting and financial services. In the end, no job offer. They just took the hard work and left me packing. Can anyone make suggestions as to what I should do to help me get noticed for a financial analyst career before I am forced to throw in the towell and reenlist in the armed forces (the only jobs left in large supply)? |

I've had the same problems Mathew. I haven't even been able to land an interview yet. I have 7 years in the banking/financial industry with 3 years in finance and a BS in finance, but no responses to the hundreds of applications I have put in. I wish you the best of luck and if I get any leads I will search you out and help as best I can. |
