I am currently a sophmore college student attending Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey (Metropolitan campus)

My major is finance and minor is in accounting. I currently work for Wachovia as a roving teller and tag along with a financial advisor for Wachovia. (Kind of like a mentor i networked with him and he offered me to work with him so i can kind of learn the business)

I want to become a Financial advisor and looked up all the qualities and attributes one should have. I am a very determined person and don't let failure hold me down. I tend to get over things quick and try to work harder the next time to aquire the desired goal. I understand and learned that in the first few years there will be a lot of stress involved and hard work (without much pay), which i am willing to accept.

I am wondering what can i do to better my chances in landing a door at a good financial advisor firm or bank position? I was told that bank financial advisor position are better because of the fact that you are provided with leads?

Any help will be much apreciated!!
