Are jobs in this industry on the rise? Are there any sub-sectors that are growing?

Where are the jobs? Which places have the most financial advisor opportunities?

Financial advisors that are looking for opportunites have to go out and meet with individuals who are open minded and looking to increase or start up their portfolios. In any case it is important to get in front of that potential client. www.leadsco.ca comes to mind when looking for those people. They get people who are interested in meeting with an advisor in front of the advisor. The jobs and opportunites are had enough having a company like www.leadsco.ca to assist in getting the work for the financial advisor can be a great help especially if you are new to the field!

The financial services industry is growing.

Ameriprise Financial is leading the way with a business model and financial planning infrastructure that has proven successful over decades.

An estimated 78 million people in the baby boom generation will reach retirement age in the next 15 years and over 1.7 trillion dollars of wealth will be in transition over the next 5 years.

Monster has a booklet about the Financial Planning career....always good to ask friends family and relatives for advice too!
The first step is to ask a financial planner to work on your financial plan, no matter how small and humble a beginning it will help you.

I think there are opportunities out there for the right people with the right make-up to be successful anywhere. If you are looking into becoming an FA as a career change, you have to accept that the money you used to make can be made again, but it is going to take hard work and more importantly persistence to get back to those same levels of income.

Regards,
Jeff
