I WANT TO BE A FIRE FIGHTER AT PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE. DON'T KNOW IF I NEED TO BE IN THE MILITARY OR NOT?

Not all the time. You have to look at the job posting. It will tell you if it is an open listing or just open to those in the military. Many of the bases are Federal Fire, some use a combination of civilian/ military, and so on. Visit www.usajobs.com to view federal jobs. This is where most bases post firefighter openings. Just a little advice, make sure that read the requirements VERY carefully and make sure that you have everything that they require. Good luck.
