A career in the Fire Science Field w/o a Commercial License Drivers License?

Fortunate in Ontario, California

I'm really interested in this area. Especially becoming a fireman. Unfortunately, I'm disqualified from receiving a commercial drivers license. I know it is a requirement for a fireman to retain one. Is there any other position that I can possibly apply for after completing courses, certifications and receiving a degree in the field? Any information will help. Thank you.
