Is Alaska hiring? |

Alaska just furloghed for the second time. In January, everyone from the last two classes from 07 to all five from 08 were furloughed. They will call them back from furlough for the summer flying then furlough some again. Alaska's financials are great and they are trying to keep it that way, with the rotten economy as it is. Alaska is a great airline to work for. |

I´m planning to move to WA in around 1year, when we finish my contract. I´m 30 years old, and I´m currently flying in Qatar Airways as cabin crew. I speak english, spanish, and french (intermediate level). I would like to know if Alaska ecruits often or not, and what is the candidate´s profile. If having experience is an asset or they prefer young girls.Thank you! |

I hear Alaska Airlines will have a class in April. |
|
Maria in Doha, Qatar 15 months ago |
Hehehe. This April is a bit to soon for me to plan our moving, but thank you for the info. I still would need to arrange many things before even thinking about moving I just want to test the waters 1st. I also would like to know how long is it since you are interviewed till the moment you join the company.
:) Have safe flights!!! |

I really don't know a lot about Alaska Airlines. I've heard that it's a great company, though. Does anyone know what the starting hourly pay is? Thanks! :) |
|
SandFlysBy 14 months ago |
OK, I got the hourly pay. Now who can tell me what Alaska Airlines is REALLY like (i.e., working there, being on RSV, commuting -- if need be). C'mon, you guys that work for Alaska -- spill the beans! |

Is there a June training scheduled? Or are you scheduled for a class? |

That headline is misleading. That was a long time ago. The website says the training class will begin April 18 in Seattle. ;) |

I posted that question before I knew about the April class. The heading is referring to the June 2008 class. |

When you complete the application to Alaska Airlines, you are give the option to "close" it. What does that entail? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. -Belmont |

Can anyone tell me about there interview process ? Also if you can commute with them ? |
|
Lucy in Los Angeles, California 14 months ago |
There are a bunch of previous threads with information on the interview process @ Alaska. The last time they hired flight attendants was in 2008.
