Can someone please post some info. on what to expect at a ASA interview...if they are having any in the near future as well as the details about the process. Also would like to know if you are still required to memorize all of ASA's announcements, what the passing score in class is, length of training, etc. I had a friend go thru ASA training several years ago & she had to memorize ALL of the annnouncements! Wondering too what ASA's future looks like since the Delta/NWA merger...are they expected to grow, add more planes/routes? All info. will be greatly appreciated.

I have applied at several of the airlines already. Is it better to wait for them to call you or is it helpful to be proactive and call them asking about the application and information sessions?
And does anyone know if Republic or Air Tran is having any information sessions soon? If so, when and where?

In regards to TSA, they're really focusing on those who already live in the Dulles area and not focusing on interviewing those out of state. For obvious reasons.

Ladymercury, Thanks for the update. I actually applied Allegiant air from your list just few days ago. I speak Korean, do you know any airline that hire KOrean speaking FA? Seems like there is a lot more demands for Japenese and Chinese. It is easy for me to learn Japenise, I wonder if it is worth for me to learn. Chinese is very hard for me. Do you also need to know how to write and read?

RE: Allegiant
Is this by invitation only or can anyone come? Does anyone out there know what Allegiant F/A's are taking home a month -- including the average commission?

Also, has anyone heard from any new hires? Aren't they in training now?

Thanks!

you have to apply-go to there site and then get an e-mail invite from them to attend. They do not fly you out and are currently looking for people only in the LA area.

If you're referring to American Airlines, unfortunately, we've furloughed over 300 flight attendants effective April 1, and THOUSANDS (at this point) must be recalled before any hiring is done from "outside". Good luck and may God Bless you!

North American canceled all the scheduled training classes for the rest of the year, and layed off some of the current flight attendants, so basically they wasted our time!
