You can take a shuttle from O'Hare to Rockford. I was supposed to start classes with you at Shuttle America. I graduated from Ryan International July 12th. A great company to work for. Good luck with your Open House and interview. Anything I can do to help, let me know. |

I am offered a flight attendant job by another airline company. Ryan seems better than the one I was offered which stars training on August 6th. Ryan has a open session on July 30th. How long did it take for you to have a one on one interview with Ryan after your open session? |

flygirl in Rockford, Illinois said: thank you for quick response all the time, Juanita! Well, do you fly like every week? No Problem! If there is anything I can answer I don't mind passing it along. Our schedule is 18 days on and 10 days off. You can get a trip for up to 2 weeks or longer. It depends on scheduling. |

Just be yourself in the interview. They are really nice and just be honest in your answers. They will invite you to training on the spot if they want you. You will go for a drug test and fingerprints the same day. People didn't take the class serious and they don't play when they say study. You have to pass the exams with atleast a %90. You have two chances to pass quizzes. If you want this position, you will study and pass. Some just took it as a joke and they failed. Some left after the first day because they realized it just wasn't for them. |

You may be able to jumpseat on other carriers but you need to be local on your reserve days. You have to fly stand-by on other carriers as well. You just need to be local on your reserve days. People live all over they come a day early before they start reserve and some have crash pads. |

Daryl Ausby in Berwyn, Pennsylvania 46 months ago |
So I just got an Email from Andrew so if i stay in florida dose it matter? |
|
stacey in Rockford, Michigan 46 months ago |
thanks for the info. a crashpad is probably what i'll do until i can move if i do. does ryan frown on commutting. i know it isn't easy but would be a reason to lose your job? |

ya know i was wondering the same thing. there wasnt any information about an application. i sent a resume through careerbuilder.com and mr yeoman sent the email of those questions. i replied and he said ok i'll see ya there and told me where it was. did you fill out an application. otherwise i'm going to bring my passport, my identification, ss card, my resume and some references. probably a couple of copies of my resume. :) |

Juanita in Hammond, Indiana 46 months ago |
stacey in Rockford, Michigan said: how long is reserve? 2 yrs, 6mo or do they go by seniority # only? You are reserved because we fly mostly DOD flights out of Rockford. They don't have a set schedule. Wisconsin and Boston you fly seniority because it is set scheduled flights. Those bases are seasonal only. They are pretty good about calling you ahead of time. You will know in advance if you have trips or not but if they call you and you can't get there within 1 1/2 and you are on reserve then you are in trouble. They frown upon commute but maybe things will change. They tried it and people wasn't makng it to work. The questions are situational questions. There are no wrong answers, just how you would handle an angry customer or if a person was obese and the passenger didn't want to sit next to that person but there were no other seats available, how would you handle that situation. Just relax and be yourself. Dress in business attire and smile. They are looking for customer service with a friendly face. |

flygirl in Rockford, Illinois said: how many people were in the session when you were there? Do you remember? I am nervous but at the same time I am so excited. It was about 60 people in my open house. They give you the option to leave after the introduction. Half way through about 20 people left. Everybody in my open house that remained until the end received an invitation to training. You are not hired until you complete training, an assessment test(physical exam) and your OE. You will not receive your training bonus or nothing until you receive an official letter offering you employment. If you like what you hear and you continue the process and this is what you really want then you will be fine. Some just didn't take it serious or they thought since they were former F/A's then they had it made. It doesn't matter if you come in with no experience because they want to train you Ryan way. Pay attenstion and study and you will be great. |

Bring a picture ID, social security card, passport or receipt as proof you already applied and resume. You will receive another application at the open house and you must fill it out and bring it to the interview completed. Bring a note pad to the open house and take notes or write down any questions you may want to ask. |
