Hey there.. I sent an appl yesterday. Can't find much info on the airline except that it may be charter. Looks like there are hubs in Miami, Gulfport-Biloxi, and Las Vegas, and offices in Atlanta and DC. Thats a great mix. Is anyone aware of commuter policies or jumpseat agreements? Or scheduling? I'll be anxious to find out more. Good luck everyone. |

Vision is a charter operation based out of Las Vegas, but with satellite bases in Gulfport and now Miami. They do private as well as some military charters on their 737 series Boeings. They are ETOPS certified I believe, and travel all over the country as well as in the Caribbean and intercontinentally. The salary is quite good from what I have heard. I have also heard the flight attendants are kept out for rather long periods of time, so if you want to make more money in per diem, etc., and do not have a problem with being away from home for up to three weeks, it can be a good thing. |

Oh and hey there Kellie.. I actually heard that you're home every night, so perhaps the difference depends on the aircraft you operate? Or maybe the base you work out of? Hopefully a current employee can clear that one up.. |

I'm sure it does depend upon where you're based and the routes you're flying. The girls I know that work there make approx. $30K and that is the starting salary. Not too shabby considering many airlines start flight attendants out at essentially minimum wage levels! |

Definitely much more than I bring in now at a regional :) I'm wondering about their jumpseat agreement, if they can fly standby with anyone else? I know that charters operate a little differently so I was just curious. Its nice to be based where I live right now. But I need growth.. Good luck to you btw! |

Hi Good Morning, I received a call and email...I am not familiar with the steps of FA interviews since I have been in Banking of my life....They say it is a 2 day process, I wonder why? |
|
Praxedes Morillo in miami, Florida 30 months ago |
Hi Skyready!...Congrats!!! I am very excited too, but a little confused since they mention it is a 2 day process does that means we have to attend both days???....due to my current job it is going to be hard to show up on the 10th....I was thinking to call the recruiter....What do you think? |

Hi Praxedes. Ok that is great :) Well I'm flying now and have been to several FA interviews. I don't know about Vision's process specifically but typically in the Open House (OH) a company representative will talk a bit about the airline. Usually there is time for attendees to individually introduce themselves. Some airlines have people to read an announcement. There is always time for questions about the company. Afterwards it varies. Some airlines do single interviews the same day (for those who have made it to the 2nd round) or have you return a 2nd day. Sometimes it is left up to you as an applicant how soon you get your drug screening done, but the sooner its done - the sooner you can possibly be asked to officially accept a training date :) I've always found OH's and FA interviews to be really exciting, a chance to meet and network with other people. |

Vision is a chartered co. They fly 737s, their co. Just got off the ground this year. The planes are pretty nice, $31,000/yr salary + daily per.diem. They charter casino junkets (ie. A bunch of gamblers to/from cities such as Las Vegas, Bolxi, Gulfport, Bahamas, Tunic, etc for Harrahs casino. These pax go on 2-4day comped trips, casino typically pays for them to fly/stay free to come spend money, trips are comped based on their rewards card. Pax can also buy in on the trips for cheap, $200. In-flight each junket carries a casino rep, who hogs up your pa lol & gives pax info regarding the trip. They typically play games onboard, gambling games, and most of the time the rep will tip each fa. Drinks are free for pax. Usually just a light snack is served, unless its a longer flight.) Ummmm...what else?? |

Crewmembers are the best people to work with ever, no matter the airline.. Would you happen to know the jumpseat agreement there? I'm wondering what the flight benefits are like and whether or not I could commute from Atlanta until moving to base?? |

I'm supposed to attend the next OH when a location is decided. Are you allowed to tell us about travel benefits at all? Can you fly free or discounted on other airlines, or is commuting possible for a short time? Basically I'm asking about their jumpseat agreement.... |

Hi Praxedes! Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you as well :) Congratulations! I'm very happy you got it too!!!!! I don't think we are going to a formal interview, I don't think they'll keep spending money for more interviews, I think it'll be more geared towards the background check and drug test which are the formalities prior to training. I'll see you in January!!!! FA09, I received the email on the 25th as well, I'm telling everybody who hasn't received it to check their junk mail folders as the email may have been sent there. |
