DIAFA in Littleton, Colorado said: From what I can gather it seems they fly on contracts which are short term and then lay off after the contract is over and then rehire new class for a different contract, and this seems to be an ongoing situation there. They dont supply transportation to the interview and you cant commute with their limited chartered service since its different cities all the time. They only fly two airplanes and yet always hiring a new class every few months. Don't think this is a good company to go for anyway They recycle stews to keep pay at minimum and offer no benefits. This is definitely a company you want to stay away from. If you are bi-lingual, you have an edge with most companies. I worked for Continental for 25 yrs before I retired but am looking to get back into the business. Good luck. |

I work 4 Xtra and we do not lay off FAs they have the choice to base bid if a contract ends but they don't want to do the crash pad thing. We make great hrs also it just depends what base u are @ and where u are in seniority. We have 5 airplanes its not a lot but more then what ppl think when when they say we just have 2 planes. They don't fly ppl out to interviews either and a lot of commercial airlines are the same way. We also get lines right away here not like they do when I fly commercial and you r on a Reserve line 4 23+ years. We have good jumpseat agreements also we don't have delta American united or us airways but we have jumpseat agreements. doing charters is fun we do all types of charters and we go international too. They're always hiring cause most Fa's don't want to relocate and they can't handle the fact that we actually work hard. U always see the same ppl and will most likely fly with the same ppl all the time and that does get tiring we r very small but very family oriented. |
