What do you enjoy most about your Food Service Manager career?

What do you enjoy most about being a Food Service Manager? What do you dislike the most? Is it challenging? Are there many opportunities to learn and advance?

What keeps you at your job?

I love knowing that you have those customers that come in 4-5 times a week to see you because they know no matter how bad their day is when they walk back out it will be all forgotten. Thats what we do as managers; we help our associates grow to understand we can make a difference in peoples lives (even doing something small as making sure their salad is fresh and has the right ingriendents). I love knowing that people come to us to just hang out and get away from everyday life stresses.

The only thing I dont like at work is when our management team is having a disagreement i feel like it tears the team about and comes down on our associates, thats why open communication is whats best =]
