What do you enjoy most about being a front desk receptionist? What do you dislike the most? Is it challenging? Are there many opportunities to learn and advance? What keeps you at your job? |

People are so rude these days.. coworkers, clients, customers, even bosses. I guess the one thing that keeps me going anymore is the paycheck. The most challenging thing at this particular company is the lack of willing people to relieve me for any type of break. I understand that they are busy, but their annoyed attitude every time I have to call them up here is getting really old. I NEVER abuse the situation. EVER. |

I enjoyed working as a receptionist because I was rarely bored. Besides answering calls and appointment setting, I met new people almost everyday. People from all walks of life. Doing one thing all day can get boring, so I enjoyed assisting my co-workers when I could. What I disliked the most would have to be the people who think you are "smaller" than them. They always think they can do your job better than you. Or that you're job is insignificant. They fail to realize what an important position you hold, being the first point of contact. There is always opportunity to learn and advance. It's up to the individual to step it up and make their desire known. Assisting those around you gives you better insight on their positions. |
