I'm a recent grad with a degree in history and a geography minor. I was wondering if it was possible to get a gis job with my geography minor. I have taken multiple gis classes at my school and even did a 3 month internship that focused on using gis. I enjoy working in this field and would have majored in it had it not been my last year in college. Is this experience enough to get me started in a GIS job?

You can definitely break into the scene in a Technician/Operator role.

At my current firm we have hired people with 0 experience in GIS, but with some educational background in Geography/Urban Planning etc.

You need to just find the right position at the right firm.

Unfortunately for me, there is very little opportunity in Toronto.
