What is the best training for becoming a hirable glazier? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective glazier? What do non-traditional career paths look like? |

unless you work union, theres really no way to certify yourself, here in portland or. the union takes your money, but the training & CERTIFICATION process is not so great, your moved along by hours worked. most shops will start you out at the bottom & move you up over a period of time, this is the best way to attain marketable skills |

Go union IUPAT is in canada I believe. Good wages, they secure your work and only take 3% which is a write off any ways... i went union 2 years ago and would never consider working otherwise... |
