I was a graphic designer for 10 years, then a Realtor for 4 - that didn't work out so I'm looking for a graphics job. I have not been interviewed for over 6 years. I've done 3 interviews and the questions are the same, one interview lasted 2 1/2 hours. Here are some of the questions (I don't like talking about my self): "Describe a time when you disagreed with your boss on a project", "Describe a time when you worked on a project with 3 co-workers and it was going in a direction that you strongly thought wouldn't work - What did you do?" "What do you like better, working in a group or by yourself?" I answered honestly and thought the interviews went well but didn't get hired at any of the jobs. In the graphic jobs I've had, I've always worked well with everyone. What exactly are they looking for? I'm not applying out of my graphics ability.

(I don't like talking about my self) ~this is probably the problem. They want you to be proud of your work and brag a little. |
