How did you get your start doing hr specialist work, and what career moves did you make to get to your current position?

Do you need a particular educational background?
I was an intern in HR while I was obtaining by Bacheors degree in Business (HR focused). (I Already finished my AA in Business)After my internship, I began working as an HR assistant(40 hrs a week + college) for a different company. Offering my assistance wherever I could and doing the job efficiently. As I got closer to graduation, I worked my way to HR Specialist. I think the more education, experience and determination you have the faster you will move you through the HR field.
Hope this helps:)
