hi i had worked in many salon but the one i can say that has been the worst is j.c Penney. hourly pay/commission 7.25 it works by productivity and if there no client coming in the salon your productivity don't hit the mark and if that happens you'll get a write up and they'll let you go even if you have no control of the services and clients that comes in the salon it very hard i think your better off trying smart styles or other salon i wish you the best and good luck . |

same exact thing with great clips. you need to be bringing in 35 dollars an hour and cut 2.5 peoples hair an hour. and if you dont meet those numbers you get written up and told not to bother asking for time off. i worked 8 hours on my 20th birthday right before i was let go. they dont want to hear that its impossible to make 35 dollars an hour for them and cut 2.5 haircuts an hour if only 2 people are coming in an hour and theres 2 or 3 stylists there. somehow its our fault that people arent coming in, not their bad marketing. one thing I heard a lot from the owner was "well if you cut hair better maybe more people would come." total horse sh**. |

Same with SportClips. Franchise salons seem to be all the same. You're best bet is to go into a privately owned salon. The only thing about a privately owned salon is that most of them do not have benefits. That's one good thing about a franchise, they do offer benefits, but most of them care more about numbers than their employees.... |

That is to lie to your customers to buy or perform a service that they don;t want and need! |
