How to get rid of CRC error

we design 24 port switch, on few of them we have crc error. we are using 7407 vitesse and 8538 octal phy. we have problem between them

setup like this 2x4 MagJack is input going to octal phy and from octal phy its going to vitesse 7407. suppose we have crc error on port 3 and 4 how should we rid of those errors, we have most of the connection are under BGA balls.

Any help for debug will be great helpful

make sure both port are set to speed/duplex 100/full and cleared the counters. I had a similar situation it is okay now.
