A single mother cannot make a living on what OKC HUC's bring home. It is an essential part of the staff, and our salaries should reflect that. We may not have a degree, but no one else on the floor would ever want to do our job. We are expected to know how to order every test a Dr. wants, be able to read their hand writing, and order all the supplies for the floor, and answer every phone call from inside and outside the hospital. It is a very thankless job.
