The emphasis is mostly on customer service and communications skills. Being able to translate highly technical terminology to generic terms fo non-technical customers is also importtant.

Most initial interviews are behavioral; so questions like:

How would you handle an angry customer

or

What do you do if a call is is taking too long? (This is important for ACD call centers where an analyst has only so much time per call because of the volume of customers.)
