I was under the impression that to be a housekeeper in a hotel that 16 rooms in an 8 hour shift was the requirement and very normal. 8 check-outs, 8 stay-overs (give or take). 16 check-outs I find to be a lot of work for one shift, and most times not possible. I also heard that taking a full shift to do 16 rooms (8 c/o's, 8 s/o's or even 10 c/o's, 6 s/o's) is being slow, and speed needs to be improved. Some housekeepers can do this amount of work in a shorter amount of time, but the quality of their rooms lack. One last thing, to be a Supervisor and room checker, does speed matter? I was told that it did.
