What is the best training for becoming a hirable housekeeping worker? What types of ongoing training or certifications are necessary to be an effective housekeeping worker?

I recommend starting as environmental tech or also called housekeeper in the healthcare industry.you will learn to be thorough and to use universal precautions.Also hospitals stay abreast of all the new rules and regulations.I have done this for 7yrs and am now transitioning back into the hospitality industry which I did prior to.It's a big plus to know how to REALLY clean and sanitize,beyond the cosmetic cleaning done in the hotel industry.
