MS in IE with BA in Psychology, questions about this path...

Hi all, I have a BA in psychology and I am currently finishing my first semester in BSEE program. One of my TA's is in the MSIE program and it sounded pretty interesting so I went and talked with the Chairperson to find out more information. Once he heard that I had a BA in psych, he let me know that I could finish one more semester (to complete a couple background courses), and then start the MSIE program. I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on this option.

Would not having a Bachelors in engineering first inhibit me in any way professionally or otherwise?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
