Hello,

My name is Travis Jordan and I am a recent graduate from Utah State's Instructional Technology program. I am currently an Instructional Designer in Salt Lake City. I recently finished a new website and online community called Instructional Design Central.It is a website for community collaboration and resources for professionals in the field's of instructional design, and E-Learning, and performance improvement. It includes the following features and resources:

* Online forums and blogs
* Instructional design related job-boards
* Instructional design related web sites and resources
* Instructional design related graduate programs
* Instructional design related conferences

Here is the site: www.instructionaldesigncentral.com

This is an early 1.0 prototype. Check it and let me know how I can improve this site and community. What other features, resources, and information would you suggest? Thanks!

Can you give me some pointers on getting into the field of instructional design? I have a BS in Business Management and a MA in Curriculum and Instruction.

Hi Travis,

I like your site, which is very helpful -- thanks for putting it up. I'm currently looking for an ID job -- how about putting up a place for posting resumes?

Travis,
I finished my MEd. in Instructional Technology in August of this year, and have been working contractual positions since. I have applied at the ones listed on your site and those on Indeed and Career Builder. My current contract ends Dec. 31 2008. Besides checking out your site further, is there anything else you might recommend.
Thanks for the site.
Sincerely,
Barry Finnell,
