Looking to get into the Instrumentation trade without taking the diploma program.Has anyone had any luck getting in the old fashion way, by getting a job with a company and starting out as an apprentice.

Probably not, to be honest with you. I know it sounds close minded, but that is the way technology is going now, my cousin 34, who has worked hard in a small town near all kinds of people who could or would hire apprentices you would think (small town) NOPE, she just wrote on facebook shed graduated with an Instrumentation degree the other day. She did not spend 4 years tho, you just have to talk to a counselor to work out your classes so you can do less than those 4 years. If you dont already work that makes it easier since you can do more classes at a time.
