I am looking into a career transition from work as a corporate lawyer to the intelligence field. I am seeking advice on any of the following: (a) should I pursue additional education at this point or rely on my JD; (b) how to best revise my resume to reflect skills which directly relate to the intelligence field; and (c) any other ideas or suggestions on where to start.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd suggest you join the Navy's Intel Reserve program so you can get the clearance and training you need to qualify for intelligence work. We have several attorneys in my unit who transitioned this way. Another option is to go back to school, but it won't help you with the clearance issue, which can take several years to obtain. Georgetown's SSP program and Johns Hopkins SAIS program are the two most well respected in the field.
