I am currently finishing up my degree in cultural anthropology, with an emphasis on the Middle East/Arabic Language, and am planning on enlisting in the army in the future. I will have taken four Arabic language courses by the time I graduate, and hopefully a masters degree in international relations after my military service. The jobs I am looking at are 35F (Intelligence Analyst), 35P (Cryptolinguist), and 35N (Signals Intelligence), but I have no idea which one would be more relevant for a three letter agency job. I think I am going to go for 35F and enlist for a three year contract. Since I already will have college credits in foriegn area/language studies, becoming a cryptolinguist may not be necessary. How important is being fluent for an intelligence/counterintelligence analyst? |
