I am a certified Residential Planner and I am wondering how long it will take me to become an Interior Designer. Do the classes I took for this transfer to a Bachelors Degree?

Hi tbrooks,
Not quite enough information to answer your questions. The best thing to do (and easiest) is to call an accredited university you're interested in, and ask them. You may need to send/fax/email them a copy of your transcript so they know where to start. It will matter where your RP studies were taken I'm sure. A typical Bachelor's degree takes 4 years, but of course if you have transferable college credits that can be reduced.

Looks like these are two accredited programs in Missouri (you can search other programs here - www.accredit-id.org/accreditedprograms.html )-

Maryville University of St. Louis
Interior Design Program
Art and Design Department
Darlene Davison, Program Director

University of Missouri, Columbia
Interior Design Program
Department of Architectural Studies
College of Human Environmental Sciences
