Inventory Manager Job Trends

It's interesting how the Inventory Mgr. Trend has dropped. One reason would obviously be the economy. Another might be company's are training entry level workers to run the majority of tasks with upper management taking part in it. Technology plays a large role in the decline due to the use of barcoding systems to track tranactions that record information directly into accounting software.
Lastly, I've seen purchasing departments taking on added responsibility to manage Inventory. It makes sense, you want to be able to trust Inventory levels when making buying decisions.
