Technically, the sallary is the same. It is all about what bonus you are going to get in July. Salary is about $60,000. Bonus can vary (depends on how strong the M&A was during the year). E.g. 2006 was very strong and I-banking analysts made $60,000-$80,000 just bonus money. Other years, $30,000-$40,000.

Analysts can make anywhere from 50+15 to 70+70 depending on their experience, their performance and firm's profitability.
