To increase your salary

-- Have experience and skills in sought-after technolgies and frameworks
-- Have an effective resume and prepare well for your interviews so that you can get multiple interviews and job offers to negotiate a better salary.
-- Contracting can be more rewarding.
-- Market yourself not just as a techie but as a well-rounded contributor with good soft skills.
