I can only speak to salaries in the DC/MD Metro area.

Junior Java SE - 60-80k base
Mid Java SE - 80-100k base
Senior Java SE - 100-120k base
Java Software Architect - 120-130k base

These numbers are not the highest but are above average and based on companies that have great benefits, quality of life, and a great work environment
