Can I hope for career in Journalism with foreign accent.

I was born and grew up in Russia. I want to pursue career in printed media or PR. I speak an okay English but with noticeable accent. How do people look on foreign accents in this industry? Will I be able to find a job?
I'm working on reducing my accent, but most likely it will never be gone completely.
