Do you have any tips to help prepare for an upcoming juvenile probation officer interview?

Are there common interview questions that come up again and again?

No, but if you find any let me know. It sounds like we are interviewing for the same job! Laura in Joshua Tree

My best advice for those looking into being a Probation Officer is to apply everywhere you can. Beef up your resume to include volunteer work with kids (YMCA, coaching, etc). Understand that a lot of the work is not out making arrests and law enforcement oriented (depending on the department, some are more law enforcement oriented that others).

I imagine it would depend on how well you answered the first two.

What kind of questions did they ask you in the interview. I have a interview in a week for a probation officer job and trying to prepare best I can, any tips and insight?

It's a structured interview so it's mostly questions about how you
would handle certain situations. Like how you would handle a
stressful situation and similar questions of that sort.
Pretty much the scenario questions that are posted
on here. Good Luck!
