Some job duties of Juvenile Probations include, (Note: some duties will change depending on state/county juristiction where you work):

1 Investigation of alleged delinquency referrals or related matters as directed by the Courts
2 Scheduling of Court Hearings
3 Preparation of written pre-disposition reports (social history) with recommendations to the courts
4 Collection of restitution
5 Case management of delinquent children to include the direct supervision of the children in their home and in the community
6 Monitoring of out-of-home residential placements and the development of after-care treatment plans to facilitate the child's successful adjustment within the community
7 Taking Juvenile's into custody, secure transport
8 You may or may not be required to carry Firearms or Mace (varies state to state and in some locations county to county)
9 Supervison of Juveniles on probation
10 Ensuring that supervised juveniles follow all orders of the court, filing violations for failure to comply with court orders / probation
