If anyone can give me some advice, it would be appreciated.
I have not worked in 9 1/2 yrs except as a homemaker raising my now 7 yr old.
My experience is in both a Family Medicine as well as Internal Medicine Offices.

I have had some interviews with physician's offices, but do not seem to be able to get the position. I have had thoughts of applying to LTC facilities to get experience with trachs, and g-tubes as a lot of facilities have extensive training programs. I have been trained (20 yrs ago) but have had no actual experience with them.

If any one has other suggestions please put the forth as they would be appreciated.

Raising your child and being a homemaker gave you more experience then you think. Try assisted living facilities as a good way to get your feet wet again. Stay away from nursing homes for now, as they will burn you out. Usually understaffed and extremely demanding...you may want to however, do the nursing homes part time or prn, to get some of those skills back. Good luck
