I'm interested in a career in Nursing. My goal was to start out as an LPN before transitioning to RN. My only concern is the CORI check. I do have a record, though I've recently gained employment with a company that did a criminal background check. Any input would help!
Thanks :)
--for the record, I'm a reformed "bad girl"

If your "Record" has charges that resulted in a non-conviction (CWOF--DISM), most employers will not question or bar you from employment. If you have convictions on your CORI, you can expect to have to talk about them - particularly if they occured within the last 5 years. Most convictions or non-conviction charges that happened more than 5 years ago, along with a show of good moral character, will not hurt you per say.
