I was thinking about getting into an lpn program in september, but I have a few questions to ask.
First my embarrassing story, I was arrested and charged with domestic violence. My sister and I got into a fight,99.9% of it was hair pulling, she called the cops to scare me, and because she had a scratch on her head,I got arrested. I had a spotless record prior to this. My case was dismissed on accounts that I buy her breakfast at Shoney's and talk it out,I kid you not.
It was immature of me,but I just feel sick to my stomach that something this foolish could keep me from becoming an LPN. I got the charge expunged as soon as it ended.
I was wondering if hospitals do a different background check than other occupations, and if my arrest/charge would come up even if dismissed and expunged. If they do show up would I even have a chance at being hired?
